How Lucky to See/Photograph a Leopard

I don't think Leopards are in danger of going extinct anytime soon, but seeing one is no easy feat.  They are like our Mountain Lions, you don't see them unless they want you to.  That could explain why my post about Leopards has been a very popular post.  Since Leopards have been so popular, I'm posting most of the pictures I took on the day the Leopard strolled by our cameras.  Looking at this sequence, you'll see some of the problems shooting around other photographers, unbalanced by a moving vehicle and an animal who isn't at all concerned about giving you an easy shot.

Just as the Leopard climbs down out of the tree, your safari-mate leans forward and shoves her camera into your frame.

Just about perfect, except who put that dead tree in the way?
Someone should have cut the grass.

Not bad, just need the Leopard to turn and walk the other way.

Again with the camera in the way...

About all I can say is...nice spots.

Please, please turn and look at me!

Our Guide speeds to get ahead of the Leopard.

Damn grasss!

OK, move the truck!

Better.

Better.

Perfect.

Great, great, hold it right there.

The money picture!  Finally, I can see your pretty face.

And hope we can meet again someday.

This 10 minute encounter that felt like a lot longer, probably meant as much wear and tear on our Guide, Bee, as it did me.  As for the Leopard, her body language seems to say, "...just another day in the jungle."
